Athletic Cleats
The popular representation of the media to professional athletes and college coaches said generally inadequate, sensational, and even selfish behavior indicative of disturbing examples of the role of sport model acceptable to our youth. Although these demonstrations inappropriate behavior sensationalism and broadcasters do not reflect the norm in the sport, we must recognize that the impact factor of these stories are generated as a prudent Multimedia for most of the sports industry, particularly for youth. Furthermore, the disappointing amount of attention to role models of good sportsmanship in new media and seems represent a symbolic contribution to the holders of the promotion of normal arrests, corruption, deception and combat athletes, spectators, parents, and, recently, the referees.
Recent articles (U.S. News & World Report, 2008) and editorials (Fox News, 2008) initiatives (see Sports / Lack of monitoring: Empire 8, 2007, 2008, game Environment and sportsmanship Task Force Committee: NCAA, 2005 – present; Sports A: Sun Belt Conference, 2008) and research (Kendall, 2004, Vermillion, Stoldt & Bass 2009 in review) have tried to rationalize, to locate and clean the paradox of the lack of sportsmanship perceived, experienced, interpreted and remembered in the sport at all levels of play.
Determine the cause of the erosion of culture and climate of good sportsmanship is still ambiguous. However, an unprecedented number of factors contributing to blame May, including:
* The Ten early specialization program around travel and training related to maturity, the climate of motivation (intrinsic versus extrinsic orientations athletes and parents), stress, overwork and injury (Kontos and Malina, 2006)
* Highly competitive team selection (Diaz, 2008)
* The generation of baby boomers + = Children Trophy (Hill, 2008)
* Intercollegiate Athletics "arms race, new media acquisitions contract of their coach, the limited police college sports programs (the Knight Foundation Commission, 2007)
* The marketing, production, packaging and marketing of sport among youth as a commodity rather than experience (Marano, 2008)
* Coaching contracts has increased and income expectations and championships
The volume and depth that the display of unsportsmanlike behavior has been reported provides a disturbing double standards for directors, in other words, play and coach like his hero, but do not act like them. The acceptance potential social and reproductive behaviors of these shows that normal with reporting and consumption follows (see Pacman Jones: LA Times.com, 2008, ESPN.com, 2007).

Therefore, the fundamental issue facing researchers and practitioners youth sports will develop a broad view of factors contributing sporting conduct and participate in behavior change programs accordingly.
Dr. Diaz was awarded by MentorCoach as their 2009 Fellow for Personal and Executive Coaching. Having won the Nike-Heinrich’s Scholar Award, she received her National Coaching License from U.S. Soccer. As a Positive Coaching Alliance Double-Goal Coach Award Nominee and a recipient of the N.C. State University Outstanding Teaching Assistance Award, Stephanie’s standard for excellence in teaching, advising, training, coaching, and working with and for others ranks second to none.
Also an avid volunteer, Dr. Diaz recently founded a Parent Focus Initiative to improve ADD/ADHD coaching through Home2School connections. To address the current needs for health and exercise of youth in her community, Stephanie has teamed up with community leaders to increase and develop new athletic opportunities. In addition to serving as a member of Murfreesboro’s first annual kids triathlon committee ~Try ‘Boro Kids Tri 2009, she has worked as a fundraiser and is currently a volunteer grant writer for C.A.P.E. ~Challenged Athletes Playing Equally~ and Soccer Kids of America~. This season you can find Stephanie lacing up her cleats, and those around her, as a volunteer U6 an U14 boys soccer coach for Murfreesboro Soccer Club.
