Connecticut silences doubters
Written by Mike Adams: Sportsmoneymanagers.com
It was two weeks ago, only that the field tonight for the NCAA tournament were announced in 2009 and millions have begun to fulfill its support.
For many, most popular teams were selected to cut the nets in Detroit went to Louisville, Memphis, Pittsburgh, North Carolina, and even Duke. It seemed as if everyone has forgotten, or at least not against the Connecticut Huskies. Here we are, two weeks later and Jim Cahoun team won their ticket to the Final Four, and have his way with the full head of steam. After being regarded as the weakest "a number of seeds in the tournament, the University of Connecticut has shown to be a computer that is on a mission. In the first round, the Huskies defeated Chattanooga in one of the most lopsided game in the history of the NCAA tournament. Followed with victories over Texas A & M and Purdue before they fell their muscles against the Missouri Tigers, which were removed only a game score more than 100 points above Memphis in the Sweet 16.
I suppose the Huskies are only one who can explain their change since the end of the regular season and Big East Tournament. The injury suffered by Jerome Dyson seemed to be very expensive, and it seemed he really was taking a toll on Connecticut. They are automatically set as the TP team second tier from Pittsburgh, which beat the University of Connecticut twice during the regular season. After being eliminated from the Big East tournament in a thriller additional six hours with Syracuse, the future University of Connecticut was definitely for discussion.
Even with the distractions that came out last week in the violations of the NCAA, the Huskies continued to win and now, probably the hottest team in the Final Four. Even if you're a fan of Connecticut I am certainly not, you can ignore the size of a statement this team has done in the past two weeks. Many "experts" Calhoun and the company was in the Elite 8 to a Memphis team that believed they had acquired "snubbed" by the commission with the number two seed. Instead, they are here as a legitimate threat to win a third national title in ten years.
